PROJECT: Concord - Inner West, Sydney
DESCRIPTION: New garage, new bedrooms, extend the living area, new facade, driveway & gates

Project Description
Extension to a Single Story Home in one of the inner west’s coveted garden suburbs.
We demolished the old existing garage and removed the concrete slabs and brick sheds along with patio areas, after excavation to the back yard for new house line footings, piers and slab we then poured the new slab off the existing building, built two new bedrooms and extended the living area to give a larger more functional family space. The new roof framing was then built and full house roof was retiled with ClickLock tiles and extended over the new slab which also formed an external alfresco dining and entertaining area.
The front of the house was also altered by building 2 new Dutch Gables which enhanced the front façade and gave the house greater character. We built a double brick garage with a sliding door for easy access and a modern panel lift garage door. The entire brick exterior was also given a facelift with a full acrylic render to give it a modern contemporary look and feel.
Obstacles That Were Overcome
The existing roof line of this house was not in the best of shape which was very quickly identified when we removed the roof tiles, as we had already built the extension of the roof to suit the new building extension this was an unforeseen issue that had to be addressed and straightened to achieve a clean roof line for the new streamlined tile system.
This client was involved a lot on this project which meant the communication and organising of trades had to be perfect to ensure a smooth project.
The Results
Not only have the clients gained 2 additional bedrooms, larger living and dining area, but they have also gained a large outdoor entertaining area with ceiling fans and clean LED downlights to match internal. The full length polished driveway leads up to a large double garage for easy access to the house.
By changing the front of the house’s roofline and adding 2 dutch gables with a large porch and entry area, the front and back of the property have changed dramatically in style and with a full acrylic render to the entire house and garage has brought this beautiful home back to life and such an amazing space to live. The clients are over the moon with the outcome and are really enjoying the living space.
